What is Open House?

My name is Carolyn and Open House is my practice, where I'll be offering friendly, accessible mental health services. Open House is what mental health care should be: A safe and welcoming space for families of all shapes and sizes.

I will offer services for kids, teens, and their families, and I proudly accept Medicaid.

Hablo un poco de español, pero estoy aprendiendo más cada día.

Who is Carolyn?

I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner located in Iowa City, IA. I love animals and old things, riding my bicycle, and making soup. I love to help young people because I had hard time growing up myself, and I believe the best way to do that is to focus on the person, and really the family, as a whole.

What's it like?

Open House is a brand new project, and I’m starting from scratch. You will meet me in tele-health spaces with in-person visits as needed (these may be in your home, or at another site). I will take a thorough history and make a diagnosis. You will learn about what that means and we’ll make a plan together. I can also provide basic therapy services for individuals and families throughout care.
